09 Chevy Traverse Pricing Released

The Chevrolet Traverse SUV is a good looking vehicle with a powerful engine--in fact, more powerful than any other Lambda powertrain out there. According to the press release from Chevy, here are the highlights available: - Expressive styling inspired by the 2008 Malibu
- Optimized aerodynamics that enhance fuel economy and reduce wind noise
- Four-wheel independent suspension system
- StabiliTrak electronic stability control system
- Family of 17-, 18- and 20-inch wheels
- Seating for up to eight adults
- Second-row Smart Slide seat feature, for easy access to the third-row seats
- Rear-seat entertainment system with second-row controls
- Six standard air bags, including side curtain air bags that deploy over all three seating rows
- OnStar with Turn-by-Turn Navigation and Direction Download and eNav (with navigation system)
- XM Satellite Radio including NavTraffic real-time traffic feature (with navigation system)
- Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity

The sticker price has been revealed to be just under 29K. While for the price it isn't all that bad, notice that there isn't much discussion as to gas economy, and unfortunately if you want value, you can't usually get power, so it will be interesting to see how the sales of this actually go, because more than likely with gas continuing to scare us more than the black plague, items like this have a double whammy against them--the overall gas cost and resale value being very low because of this very same issue.

It's a shame, because overall, I think this could be a very hot vehicle if gas was about 2 bucks cheaper. Hey, one can dream, right?
