2009 Nissan GT-R: In one word, WOW

The Nissan GT series has always been something of envy amongst car owners, starting with the "Skyline" concept in 1989. GT-R, which stands for gran turismo racer has been around since about 1969, but even with different models and different looks--it has never truly felt like the "GT-R" until the 2009 version that is coming down the pike.

The car is of reasonable size--not too big and not too small--and with the combination of midsize and all-wheel drive, you've got yourself a car that has a unique torque system that performs wonderfully under both low acceleration and high level acceleration tests. It has 480 horsepower at 6400 rpm, 434 pound-feet of torque from 3200 to 5200 rpm—not quite as much as Porsche’s 3.6-liter flat six, but something that is still available across a broad range and quite a bit to have nonetheless.

And yep, you certainly pay for this kind of power and sleek look--with a base of 85K, you can bet that only those with the elite status and ability to take advantage of such features will be buying these up. With a so-so fuel economy of 15 in the city and 22 on the highway, the engine certainly performs and eats up gas along the way.
