2010 Cadillac SRX details given prior to Detroit Auto Show

2010_cadillac_srx_image_main.jpg

The 2010 Cadillac SRX crossover will join the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox in Detroit for the Auto Show as a new 5-passenger/5-door crossover. Last year at the DAS Cadillac showed off the Provoq concept, and the SRX has not strayed from the conceptual design going forward.

The crossover not only has a sleek look to it, but it also gives great power--being able to two 3500 lbs.(basically, people that can afford these upper scale items are probably able to afford boats/waverunners they can take up to the lake every weekend :) Buyers will have a choice of 2 V6 engines--an entry-level 3.0L V6 direct-injection that can push 260 HP and a 2.8L turbocharged V6 makes 300-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Both engines will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. While official gas economy figures haven't been disbursed yet (no surprise there), Cadillac states it "should" get mid 20s on the highway.

Other items of note:
--18-inch wheels as standard (20 inch offered as option)
--“pop-up” navigation screen with 3D imaging
--adaptive headlamps that sync with vehicle steering
--power liftgate with adjustable height setting
--integrated hard disc drive for audio storage along with a dual-screen system for rear entertainment
--Bluetooth
--OnStar’s turn-by-turn navigation service for buyers who do not select the car’s navigation system option.
