2010 Ford Fusion: Super high fuel economy only the beginning

2010-Ford-Fusion-Hybrid.jpg

The Ford Fusion's 2010 model, which will be on sale very shortly, has been touted as one of the highest in class for its hybrid bringing in over 40 MPG, is now starting to show other versatility in different areas which may give the already-sellable premise even more gusto.

The Fusion also will have a performance model (the Fusion Sport) which will feature a 3.5L V6 engine which will give it 263 HP. Not shabby at all. Besides the Sport version, the front end has also been retooled quite a bit to give a bit more flash and sporty look to it (as well as improve the aerodynamics, thus creating better MPG). While the overall exterior doesn't really have much of a differentiation from the 2009, it still has some subtleties which, in my opinion, make it better.

Pricing also isn't too over the top--for what the demand for other small car hybrids have brought, the hybrid version starts at just under 28K, while the regular version is around 20. This should help for those who really seek out a Prius or Civic hybrid based on MPG alone have more of a frugal way of getting it :)

Overall, the car has been obviously looked at as one that is the cornerstone for Ford's future, and a lot of time and thinking went into making it as multi-dimensional as they could.
