2010 Toyota Prius Spied

112_0807_01l+2010_toyota_prius+right_front_profile.jpg MotorTrend has an article on spy shots of the 2010 Toyota Prius, and while, as you can see, it retains still its trademark overall look, it is distinctively different in the front in terms of it being a bit wider and a bit longer. According to the report, Toyota has said that they are sticking with the metal-hydride batteries but could replace them with the lighter lithium-ions should testing work out.

The new engine also gives the car more "oomph" which combined with the electric/engine could get it up to 150 HP--all the while improving upon the already jaw-dropping 48/45 MPG it already gets. What else can Toyota Prius owners or soon to be owners ask for?

With the solar panel possibility that I discussed previously, the eco-friendly car, which is already on back order across the globe, could very well be one of the best selling cars of all time if they keep these improvements going! Rumors also are swelling with the new front design that there could be different versions of the car, including station wagons as well as convertibles. Why not?
