4 big names pull out of 2009 Detroit Auto Show

rolls_royce_logo_2.jpg

In what has been seen as yet another sign of the apocalypse, Rolls Royce, Land Rover, Suzuki and Ferrari have all pulled out of the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, citing the downturn in the auto industry numbers being the central theme to not go into one of the year's biggest shows--period.

This is a big blow to officials of the DAS due to the fact that it was already feared that consumer numbers would drop in attendance and also the fear of auto makers not having as many "ooooh" factors there. They got a big boost when it was announced that GM would be delaying their debut of the 2010 Cadillac CTS coupe as well as VW's announcement that they were not going to be displaying their concept roadster until the show, but with four big names like this pulling totally out, it is for certain that the officials for the show are scrambling to find other options.
