Audi not blinking at gas crisis in US

audi_a3_front_news_image.jpg

While the big three are struggling to keep their heads above water and are making severe cuts across the board, Audi does not seem to be blinking or remotely worried about the gas and diesel prices that have basically doubled over the past 2-3 years.

Next year the car maker is bringing over the A3, and officials are very happy with the timing of that as well as the smaller SUV Q5 as the US compact SUV market is really starting to take off and the A3 should do well in terms of the fuel efficient culture that is being created over the gas crisis. Regardless, Audi officials have said that the luxury car market has not been significantly impacted as the other areas (SUVs, Trucks, bigger sedans).

This makes sense because obviously those that can afford the luxury cars don't have the overall concern for the gas prices, even though this is probably cutting into their country club fees they spend yearly (I'm kidding...kind of). It's nice to see a company that feels well positioned instead of the auto makers that are running for the hills....
