Audi targeting MINI with Quattro

Audi_A1_Metroproject_Quattro.jpg

The Metroproject Quattro, which was unveiled by Audi in October, is a concept that blends the A1 Cabriolet design with the hip electric-hybrid powertrain. The stylish "super" compact basically has one competitor in mind: BMW’'s popular Mini Cooper convertible.

Audi seemingly is one of the last standing mavericks in terms of engineering design as well as concept, and it is throwing a lot of cash on the premonition that the premium luxury class of supermini will be wildly lucrative, especially as smaller is becoming the trend amongst car buyers looking to maximize their dollar on gas economy and not sacrificing style. It is certainly a slick looking vehicle, and it will ultimately debut at the Frankfort Motor Show in Fall 2009 prior to being sold on a mass scale.

Are you ready for a SUPER (small) battle? Let'’s get it on!
