Batmobile bought in auction cannot be driven in public

Remember the movie Batman Forever? Ooops, sorry if I made you throw up a little bit in your mouth. Yes, the movie was basically an abomination of the Batman Franchise and the storyline was nothing short of....well, crap. But, do you remember the ACTUAL Batmobile and the interpretation of it in that movie?? Sorry again..I hate vomit burps too.

Well, that being said, the Batmobile was put on auction and sold for 297K. You may go "Seriously??" But here's the rub--it was valued at almost 800K!!! So, the lucky (yeah right) winner got it for a bargain, right?

Not so fast, my friend.

Because of Warner Bros. stipulations with buying the shark-fin looking car, one of which was that it can't be driven in public, even the most penny-pinching collectors frowned at it. And the sad thing is that the car is very operational--VERY--with a smooth V8 to allow to leave in shame while people point at you and your existence. While it makes for a decent discussion while people look at it in your garage, the discussion will probably range as to why you in your ever-lovin' mind spent almost 300K for a piece of garbage. Wait, that's an insult to garbage.
