BMW Mini now has One million exports!

The Mini Cooper has always been one of the most unique cars in the world for quite some period of time. I personally think the biggest "pop" the car got was during the Austin Powers movies, but I am sure that experts have other things to say about it :) Regardless, the cars have become wildly popular, as evidenced by the fact that the Oxford, England plant celebrated its one millionth car exported since 2001.

With a staff of about 5000 that can make up to 800 cars a day, BMW Mini exports about 80% of the cars it produces to over 80 countries, with the biggest one being the United States. With the seemingly pattern change to smaller cars in the country as well as Europe due to the huge increase in gas and petrol prices, it would appear that the popularity of the MINI would continue to rise, as the convertible and clubman models continue to reach newer audiences and propel sales.

One million exports: a huge accomplishment for such a small car.
