Dealerships and Service: Who's the Best?

07-06-22-lexus-santa-monica.jpg

I am not talking about service in terms of bringing your car in for an oil change. I am talking about the overall feel of the salesmanship of dealerships. Which people are great about basically making you feel good about being there? Which brands are good about asking for information? What about internet and email exchanges?

Well, in terms of the 2008 Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, there have been several dealerships that have made great strides in improving from last year. Acura remained at the top for the second consecutive year, but were being closely trailed by Saturn, Lexus, and Jaguar.

I am very surprised actually to see Saturn sandwiched in between some bigger name luxury types. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that with a luxury car dealership, the “life” and treatment is more than likely a lot better, and especially that places like Lexus are a one-brand only place, whereas dealerships that offer more brands and more selection that compete with some of the same variety are trying to nickel and dime the other places, so therefore service and treatment aren’t as largely heeded. In the internet area, Infiniti, Cadillac, and Lexus topped the charts there. If you can’t tell with Lexus, there’s a bit of a theme here. Have you ever been in one? I sure have, and it’s like buttah. No kidding. I didn’t want to leave. Now how’s that for service?
