Dixon keeps Castroneves from winner's circle--again

Scott Dixon.jpg

What's the saying, always the bridesmaid but never the bride? Well, in Helio Castroneves' case, he's been sitting next to the blushing bride holding her bouquet for a very long time. And in this case, the beautiful bride has been Scott Dixon, who has put up great performance after great performance, and he won the Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway in thrilling fashion, passing Castroneves on the last lap to seal the win and again put Helio at number 2, as he failed to win his first race of 2008.

Dixon won his sixth race of the season and basically was almost embarrassed of the win in the post-win interview, mostly because he agreed that the strategy all day from his crew wasn't exactly genius, yet he still won and snatched the title away from the Helio in front of the sold out crown in Sparta, Kentucky.

What can you say for Helio? Hey, he's doing great still--it could be worse, and many drivers would much rather be in his situation than some of the terrible places like Will Power was there (only 5 laps completed). Regardless, you just can't say enough about how the "kiwi" Dixon has raced this year---he's definitely in a league of his own. Barring a complete letdown, he's got the points title basically sewn up.
