Finally! Castroneves wins!

Almost 2 years.

Almost 2 YEARS since one of the most popular racers in the Indy Racing League has taken home the crown. But now the drought is over...Helio Castroneves is BACK in the winner's circle, winning the Peak Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County, beating teammate Ryan Briscoe to the line.

The win was even sweeter considering that IRL points leader, Scott Dixon, finished a disappointing 14th, and with that--Castroneves jumped 35 points and now trails Dixon by 43 points heading into next week's race at Belle Isle, which is the site of Castroneves’ first win in his Indy car career.

This is great for the league, because the more drama it can make and the headlines it can produce to rival NASCAR, the better. Congrats to Helio and Penske on this big 1-2 punch (again!).
