Ford--Quality really is job one

lg_FordSign.jpg

I know that the new promotional campaign that Ford is running is "Drive One", but I think with the new study, they need to bring back the "Quality is Job 1", because that is exactly what was proven. Ford had been tied with Toyota in terms of vehicle quality last year, but now it has caught Honda in initial quality, riding a huge 8% increase, and is now in a virtual deadlock as the industry leader.

It couldn't have come at a better time for the automaker, who has really suffered in terms of public confidence, and what more to really bring things back then to have a huge thing like this occur? The Drive One marketing drive will tell the story behind Ford’s rise to the top of the industry in initial vehicle quality as well as underscoring safety, smart technology and improved fuel efficiency, and is really important for the push for Ford Flex.

And the design portion isn't all that bad, either. Best in class honors went to the company for interiors--which such areas as trim, seats and instrument panel appearance; and electrical, which includes entertainment systems. (Hello Sync!)

Perhaps this is the sign that Ford needed....we'll see!
