General Motors rushing Chevy Volt production model out in September

chevrolet-volt-picture-3-705379.jpg

General Motors has a bit of an image following it around. You know, the kind of image that Paris Hilton will never rid herself of. The kind of image that Barry Bonds doesn't care about what people think (thus the image). With GM, it's a question of a company that is spinning out of control with their gas-guzzling heavy status and not a whole heckuvalot of hope of positivity anytime soon--if ever.

So, that being said, GM has rushed its process of the Chevrolet Volt, the highly anticipated electric car, with the intent of having a production ready and showroom model ready for the public by September. In addition, the Volt will be featured as one of the "stars" in the new Transformers movie, which will certainly continue the buzz around this new "savior" for Chevy and GM.

It seems that GM is really placing all of its proverbial eggs into the Volt's production, and while it is not as far fetched as trying to rid the countless SUVs and Truck inventories that line the country's dealerships with gimmicks, it isn't a sure thing either. But, I guess it's better than nothing, and hey, I am just as interested as the next car enthusiast to see this thing in action and the real ripple effect.
