GM deal on CPO vehicles a step in the right direction

gmlogo.jpg

General Motors seems to be serious about this "turnaround" thing.

Not only are they touting their second coming of success in the Volt, but they are also offering new cars at employee pricing, and now are going to be offering certain certified pre-owned vehicles with 12 month, 12,000 mile warranties which are basically unprecedented.

Why? Well, as most people have seen when they go shopping for cars, when they get to the used section, the majority of the warranty stickers are clearly marked "As is". But with Buicks, Chevrolets, GMC, Pontiacs, and Saturns--that can be up to six years old or less than 75,000 miles--they get a bumper to bumper warranty. Now that's a pretty sweet deal.

I have to say that while some things with GM when it comes to decision-making leaves me scratching my thinning head, I also am finding myself with some things I am learning like this with pursed lips going "Hmmm". This is really turning out to be a great time to buy a car, and the pot just may get sweeter!
