GT-R already at 70% allocation

nissan_gtr_news_image.jpg

The Nissan GT-R has been one of the more highly anticipated models to come to the United States this year. With its impending opening sale date of July 7th, Nissan has reported that 1700 models have already been accounted for, citing a 70% allocation rate thus far (even though the initial news was that only 1500 were going to be available in the States--fuzzy math, I guess).

The GT-R is a blend of power and style, and the price tag is enough to choke a donkey, but it still is remaining to be highly sold and at the top of several car enthusiasts' lists. If you are in the market for one, you can certainly try your best to get one (although they are ONLY available at certified Nissan dealers who have met certain expectations of the company) still.

This is good news in the face of so many depressing stories coming out of the auto industry yet. One thing is for sure--while the vast majority of the Americans are panicking to find a solution for their car needs, that apparently hasn't reached the luxury set quite yet.
