Honk if you are aggressive like me!

That may be the next best selling bumper sticker after findings from a study done at Colorado State university, that found that those who sport bumper stickers--regardless of the message--are more apt to be aggressive behind the wheel than those that don't express their "flair".

Not to say that those that don't have bumper stickers don't get mad, but the difference is that those that do have bumper stickers don't realize that they report more aggressive behavior than non-bumperers (I know that's not a word, get over it). This follows basic human psychology that identifies three basic territorial spaces in a person's mind--their own (home, their children), temporary (cubicle at work), and public (parks, etc.). So, it's safe to say that many who have bumper stickers regard their spaces regardless of where they are at as their own, and are therefore more likely to get medieval on your a....you get the point.

This isn't really rocket science when you think about it. Expressing yourself in whatever fashion, in a public scenario, means to me that the person is more prone to basically do as they want--to me it's almost like how you express yourself through the way you look as well--I have yet to see someone who is goth really be passive and other things that people do are more for attention--another way to describe aggressiveness in a different form. So these findings, in my opinion, are pretty logical. The question is--why does it matter? Well, I guess for those of us that are non-bumperers (there it is again), should we choose to try and cut someone off, perhaps we need to see if they are sporting an "Obama '08" "My kid is an honor roll student" or even "Honk if you love Jesus" before we make our move, eh?
