Hot wheels making a huge comeback

Mattel is worth more than the company that owns it--General Motors. Can you believe it? Wait, don't answer that. One of the main things that has really pushed Mattel past this brink is the upturn in Hot Wheels sales. The epitome of toy makers for decades, this classic toy which is a very serious trade of many collectors has helped connect boys with their fathers for a very long time, and the connection is getting even closer--as the toy celebrated a record 2008 year of sales.

This article on Newsweek gives all of the ins and outs of Hot Wheels continued wherewithal that has enabled Mattel to stay strong. I must say that my youngest son still has a ton of his Hot Wheels, and even at almost 7, asks every time we go to a store where they sell them if he can just have "one more". I can see why!
