JD Power releases Top 10 in Car Buyer Satisfaction

JD Power is one the "big" names in what buyers follow for recommendations. So when the newest car buyer satisfaction ratings came out, there really was no surprise, but still it is important to continually recognize excellence. That being said:

The top 10 brands in the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 survey of car buyers' satisfaction with their buying experience at the dealership, out of a maximum score of 1,000:

1. Lexus, 897

2. Hummer, 895

3. Jaguar, 893

4. Lincoln, 892

5. Mercedes-Benz, 888

6. Buick, 887

7. Cadillac, 885

8. Saturn, 880

9. Porsche, 879

10. Mercury, 878

I will say that Hummer being number 2 is a bit of a surprise over old-school Cadillac and Porsche. At a minimum, in name alone, the assumption would be that the tested cars of excellence would be far more apt to score higher than the newer Hummer. It goes to show what kind of recognition and focus Hummer has given to their training and salesforce.
