Mazda On A Roll In Scotland

mazda_dealer.jpgWe know the Mazda3 is selling well in Canada and now you can add Scotland to the list of countries where Mazda sales are zoom zoom zooming.

Mazda set a sales record in Scotland for 2006 claiming a 3-percent market share. Impressive as 2006 was, it now appears Mazda is quickly ascending to a 4-percent market share this year and early sales figures are supporting another record-breaking year for sales in Scotland.

"The key is getting the product and the pricing right and that is exactly what Mazda has achieved. Mazda3 has been a strong seller and the Mazda6 has also held up well while there is strong demand for the MX-5. The past 16 months have been remarkable and we are really looking forward to getting the new Mazda2."
We're also pretty interested to see Mazda2 hit the Canadian market. It won't likely be a Volkswagen Golf killer, but could go after a similar-sized but more family-oriented market niche.

And just as an aside, other auto makers should really take note of Mazda's brand strategy. I'm specifically referring to vehicle naming - Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda5, Mazda6 etc. Simple is better, Mazda gets it.
