More collateral damage: NSX development stopped

Honda continues to drop bomb after bomb. This time, it's in relation to the NSX supercar, which was supposed to rival the Nissan GT-R, had a fully functioning prototype and was scheduled to be highlighted at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, is now dead.

As what has become a standard response to pretty much everything negative coming from the automotive world, CEO Takeo Fukui has said all production will cease due to an economic slowdown and declining sales.

This is a big disappointment to me--this car looked fab and I really thought that with the overwhelming response to the GT-R that this would be a shoo-in in terms of successful possibilities. *Sigh*
