Nissan cutting production by 78K

Ugh. I would love to be able to report that all of these significant breakthroughs are happening and the auto world is heading in the right direction, but when I am continuing to look at the ticker go by with information and all I see is just dismal news, I have to be able to talk about something, so here's another grey storyline for everyone to peruse.

Nissan, which has said that “further reduction is necessary to manage inventory levels and ensure a balanced production supply, in response to continued declines in global vehicle sales", has announced that production will be cut by more than 78,000 more vehicles. Year to date, the Japanese automaker has cut over 200K worth of production.

What's next? Oh yeah, almost forgot. This production drop also will mean 500 people are out of jobs. Misery loves company. Toyota and Suzuki have also done similar cuts. The bleeding just won't stop...
