Obama: Let's hurry up disbursement

barack-obama-official-small.jpg

Well, Barack Obama said that one of the first things he was going to look at was the automotive industry and helping the Americans who are involved and affected by the dismal showing the big three have shown for quite some time. Well, he's not fudged on that yet.

Obama has discussed the fact that he believes an additional bailout package should be made available to the car making business, and he thinks it should happen now--in addition to asking lame duck Prez Dubya to get the disbursement of the first financial package out as soon as possible. “I have made it a high priority for my transition team to work on additional policy options to help the auto industry adjust, weather the financial crisis, and succeed in producing fuel-efficient cars here in the United States,” said Obama.

Well, while people are already coming down on the president-elect that he is going to raise taxes in every way possible, this is not something that, if it happens, can be looked at too bad of a thing. Yes, I understand that this is in response to the company making some poor choices, but you also have to consider that the end product of those affected are in the thousands, and we as a country should do what we can to help the problem out, and if that means more taxes, so be it.
