OnStar to celebrate 100,000 crash response

onstar-logo1.jpg

Thanksgiving week in the United States is the highest travel week of the year--yes, including Christmas!

And ironically, it comes at a milestone time for OnStar, the pioneer in GPS and crash response safety systems. This week the CEO of the company will hold an online press conference discussing the 100,000th automatic crash response since the company was started. The conference will highlight some of the families that have their lives and thanks to give to OnStar for its efforts and system.

Of course, the sad thing is that 100,000 accidents had to happen. Not trying to wax poetic, but this isn't an ideal celebration--of course it's a good thing that the system has worked the way it has, but the ideal situation would be of course to have never HAD to reach this type of legacy.
