Paris Motor Show: Chevy shows off the Cruze

cruze chevrolet.jpg

Ahh, the Cruze. One of the saving graces for Chevrolet and General Motors, so it would seem. The car that has taken a backseat to the Volt over the past few months looks slick and ready to fly, it would seem, and it was shown off at the Paris Motor show today. While plans for US sales have yet to be determined, it is scheduled to go on sale by Spring 2009 in Europe, and it is a pivotal car in GM's arsenal and its attempt to pick itself up off the ground.

Here's a video from InsideLineVideo:

I really do like this car, I will admit it. My wife has a Cobalt and while it's a decent car overall, it doesn't display the style that the Cruze does, plus it doesn't have the cool name either :) A Chevy spokesperson said the following when discussing the highly anticipated car--it will represent "a vehicle that embodies the attributes of what buyers can expect from Chevrolet going forward: value, quality, fuel-efficiency and great design".

Let's sure hope so.
