Smart to release "Limited Two" edition

smart_fortwo_limited_two_edition_image_main.jpg

Smart's forTwo car has been very successful globally, and with the massive shift to smaller cars with greater gas economy, and with gas prices seemingly stuck at least at 3.80-4.00, the type of car that the forTwo represents, which is really on the extreme end of the equation--as it it itsy-bitsy frame reminds of something normally you would have seen in "Total Recall" several years ago.

But the car has done well overall, and Smart has released information that it is going to release a more upscale version of the car which will be a Limited edition. This is based on the coupe and cabrio version of the Smart For Two and are powered by a 71-hp engine that returns a fuel-economy of 59mpg.

Another "smart" move by the company that has really timed the market perfectly. My guess is that those who want to be able to take advantage of the great MPG and still have somewhat a version of "style", even though it is still very much below what types of cars the Prius and Civic hybrid represent--but it also has a much lower price tag.
