Toyota recalls almost 16K Tundras

A rear propeller shaft that may separate at the joint is the culprit behind Toyota's decision to recall almost 16,000 Tundras. This is basically involving the 2007 version.

There have not been any accidents prior to the recall, but with the automotive world already facing sliding sales and layoffs of the workers, this is yet another thorn in the side for automakers. This also comes on the heels of complaints by V-8 Tundra owners have had camshaft failures in their trucks. Toyota told the Detroit News that it had logged 20 such complaints.

One thing is for sure--it's going to cost Toyota a lot to do this and buyer satisfaction for Tundras is most certainly going to fall considerably.
