US could be getting more import models from Honda

Honda_Stream_main510.jpg

Ford has already said that they are going to be importing six models normally reserved for Europe to the United States. Mitsubishi has said that it will also start sending its next-gen A and B-Class models to America as well.

While most car makers have cars that they market and make for countries due to the demand in terms of oil and petrol prices, the United States generally hasn't fallen under that guise, but with no sign of the pump going down to where the levels are deemed "acceptable" by Americans and with the hybrid and smaller car supplies having to have production increased just to keep up with demand, it's really no surprise that now Honda has said that they are considering sending imported models normally reserved for their Japanese markets to the United States.

Two models mentioned were the Stream wagon and a more of a crossover version of an Odyssey van. It's not revolutionary like the Ford move was, but it's a start. With Honda's design to make more hybrid models as well as the Fit and Civics that are flying off the shelves, they may not have to make such a dramatic move, but look for other car makers to be looking for the same angles over the next several months and possibly years.
