What the F?

fordlogo.jpg

What a great article that I saw on The Detroit News.
It's one of those things that smacks you in the face with the obvious. What is Ford's deal in their naming conventions? Is their Marketing department SO ingrained in the philosophy of having every single model of car named with an F until the end of time?

Umm, hellllllllllo gentlemen--your two biggest selling cars do not have an F even remotely involved in it--that would be the Taurus and the Mustang. So when we all know that the "Flex" and the "Fiesta" are on the way, where in the world is the drive behind it (no pun intended). I mean, there are so many cutting edge naming conventions out there, who is in charge here and what has to happen before the big kahunas start saying "what the F is going on here" instead of "What is next to be named F?"

Oh wait, the big kahunas HAVE already been asked about it. Looks like they are freakin' followers of the fair follies that Ford feels is the fairest of them all. Whatever. No wonder the global economy sees the American automaker community as a joke.
